Chieftain Mid Season Potatoes
Chieftain Potato is a medium-sized, smooth red-skinned, oval tuber with shallow eyes and white flesh. Resistant to scab and late blight, it does better in clay soils than other reds. This is a spreading plant with attractive light-violet blossoms. Chieftain has excellent flavor and quality after boiling, but does not make acceptable chips after cold storage. It is adaptable, delicious, and has incredible yield potential. Potatoes are one of the best known all-around bundles of nutrition due to their balanced and available protein content. Store potatoes in dark, cool and dry place.
