Enjoy having a lawn but tired of mowing it? There aren't many options available - encourage or bribe one of the family to do it? Find a local jobbing gardener? Then a few years ago some bright spark invented the robot lawn mower. A clever device that consists of a battery powered mower without any of the needs for control by an operator with a control system (i.e. no handle or other bits to fiddle with and get in the way) and an inbuilt controlling device that tells the mower where to go. There is a bit more to it than that, namely a cable that you place around the perimeter of your lawn and a re-charging unit to power up the lawn mower. The mower can't deal with particularly long or wet grass, but then as it will do it's job while you're at work, the shops or just lounging around, mowing more regularly isn't just so much of a chore - as no chore at all!
No problem. Like the smart mower it is, the patented technology allows it to negotiate and mow around obstacles. And because it mows in a triangular pattern from many different directions, it will cut any lawn, regardless of its geometric shape.
Constructed with recyclable materials, the Robomower is powered by sealed batteries, so there's no gas or oil to mess with. Or resulting air pollution, for that matter. And because of its whisper-quiet motor, noise pollution is hardly a problem either. Which means you can mow anytime, day or night, without disturbing the neighbors. What's more, because of its mulching action, it returns valuable nutrients back to your lawn. So you'll never again have to deal with the hassle of raking or bagging itchy clippings. Now there's a friend we can all appreciate. It's time you got to know its sensitive side. The Robomower is loaded with innovative sensors. Like the mower's wire sensors which recognise the active perimeter wire, preventing it from venturing outside the predetermined area. Then there are tactile bumpers that recognise solid obstacles and change direction upon touching them. While a drop off mechanism automatically stops the blades if the front end of the mower is lifted upward. To sum it up. The RL850 is fully automatic. The RL850 is can cover up to 10,800 square feet on a single charge - while you relax on the porch. Because the mower is rechargeable, it doesn't need gas or oil, and emits no pollution and little noise. It's still every bit as powerful as conventional mowers, employing a cutting system equivalent to a 5-1/2-horsepower gas mower, but with better mulching and a 5,800 rpm blade speed. Just push a button and it does the rest. Since it operates on rechargeable batteries, there's no need for oil or gas. And because it mulches as it mows, there's no need for backbreaking grass bagging either. Finally, it's so quiet you'll hardly know its there. That is, until you see the results of its handy work.
